A very fine and rare copy. This bibliophile edition published by Christoph Czwiklitzer, Paris 1960) consists of 150 numbered copies. No. 1 is accompanied by a gouache, an original fragment of the manuscript and 7 original colour lithographs by Ossip Zadkine. Nos 2–16 have 7 original lithographs in different states. Nos 17–150 each contain 3 lihtographs. This copy is hand numbered 17 with a monogram O.Z. in the margins. With three lithographs of ‘La belle nue’ in red, blue and orange and signed bu Zadkine . With a photographic portrait of the artist, a folding facsimile of text and separate folding plate. Suite of 28 lithographic reproductions of drawings by Zadkine. Binding full dark blue morocco with blind-gilded illustration by Zadkine on front board. With texts by Christoph Czwiklitzer, Jean Cassou, and Ossip Zadkine.
